Customers sending\npackages from USPS retail locations on or after March 3 will be required to use\nPS Form 2976-R, USPS Customs Declarations and Dispatch Note. Packages found\nwith handwritten customs declarations forms will be deemed unbailable and\nreturned to the sender. <\/p>\n\n<p>Note: Military Mail items sent from Military Post Offices will temporarily be exempt from this new regulation until further notice.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>When to Use a Customs Form<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Customs forms are required when USPS mail is sent to an\ninternational destination or sent via Military Mail and weighs more than 16\nounces. As of the publication of this blog post, the USPS offers several\ncustoms forms for international mail\u2014the weight, value, mail class and\ndestination of the package determine which form to use. However, with the\nupcoming changes to USPS customs declaration policy the following forms will be\ndiscontinued and replaced with PS Form 2976-R:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>PS Form 2976, Customs Declaration CN 22 <\/li><li>PS Form 2976-A, Customs Declaration and Dispatch\nNote CP 72 <\/li><li>PS Form 2976-B, Priority Mail Express\nInternational Shipping Label and Customs Form<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Stamps.com Makes International Shipping Easy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Stamps.com customers have access to automated forms for\nevery USPS shipping scenario\u2014you will never have to worry about looking for the\nappropriate form or sending a package with an outdated form. Customers can fill\nout all necessary forms in the Stamps.com interface, print out postage, address\nlabels, and forms, all in one easy step.<\/p>\n\n<p>To complete USPS customs forms in Stamps.com, you\u2019ll need to\nsupply some basic information, including whether your package is a commercial\nsample, gift, document, return or other.
